Data model
Eloqua have the ability to create custom objects in addition to the standard objects for contact and account data. This way you can build a data model that aligns with the business needs at any given time.

You can create objects that may contain information such as orders and import this information, to be listed in your mail along with normal customer information that may be tied to the contacts data entry in the contact table.
User info
The contact view in Eloqua displays a wide array of varying information, such as customer activities, field data, lead scoring and custom object data records linked to the individual contact.
Segment designer
Once data has been created to either the account or contact list you can start making use of segmentation to create basic or more complex filters on your contacts or accounts.

Either through individual contact filtering or by specifying criteria based on a large list of options such as: Email activities, specific fields, webpage visit with and more. This allows you to then use these segments for your Eloqua campaigns and programs.
Campaign designer (flow design)
The campaign designer is an intuitive tool to help design your campaign flows in a simple overview. Once segments have been created, use these to help send customers through automated campaigns and programs.

These can be designed within Eloqua without the need for coding knowledge, with the in-built design tools. A campaign can be scheduled to run once or you may define a schedule for when the campaign needs to be re-run by Eloqua.
